Memorandum of Understanding between the International University Travnik and Osmaniye Korkut Ata University from Merkez / Osmaniye, Turkey
Continuously developing international academic-educational contacts focused on scientific-research interactions with the aim of enhancing cooperation within all forms of higher education, the International University Travnik have established, at the beginning of 2018, cooperation with another higher education institution from Turkey – Osmaniye Korkut Ata University from Merkez / Osmaniye.
Memorandum of Understanding, on behalf of the universities were signed on 24.01.2018, for IUT, by Academician, Rector, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Jusufranić and in behalf OKU, Rector, Prof. Dr. Murat Türk.
The main goal of the signed Memorandum of Understanding is expressed within the common aspiration to strengthen and develop cooperation and creative relations in educational and scientific activities based on the principles of the Bologna Process and on the basis of direct contacts and immediate cooperation between the faculties of both universities.
Consequently, it will be established contacts between faculties of similar or same curricula of both universities to be able to work jointly on curriculum development with the aim of improving methodology of lectures, technological innovations, research and development, with the acceptance of “cutting edge” practices, along with planned joint participation in the organization of conferences, seminars, study programs of shorter duration and bilateral academic meetings of common interest.
The establishment of a joint co-ordination body for planned activities led by coordinators of the OKU and IUT was agreed. Within the framework of the definition of specific tasks of common obligations, on this occasion, special coordinators of cooperation on behalf of the university were appointed which, on behalf of the OKO Coordinator is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Yakut and on behalf of IUT is Coordinator for International Cooperation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sabahudin Hadžialić.
At the same time, in the process of preparing of the Mevlana agreement and the Erasmus + Inter-institutional agreement is underway in order to improve the quality of the planned co-operation within the mobility and exchange of academic, non-academic staff and students. What is also one of the important prerequisites of the assumed scientific and educational inspirational interactions.
