Field and practical classes for students of the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering
The third year students of the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering at the International University Travnik, as part of the regular teaching process, realized the immediate fieldwork of practical teaching on the M5 – Travnik-Nova Bila highway.
The Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering of the International University Travnik, within the everyday practical application of the theoretical assumptions of the overall teaching, is constantly working on the perfecting of very important practical knowledge of future engineers of traffic.
Practical lessons were organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the MDC, whose police officers, Rifet Melić and Kristijan Slipac, transferred their practical knowledge and experience in the application of new technologies. The students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the radar and the alkometers. According to Dean of the Faculty of Traffic and Transport Engineering, prof. Dr. Sinan Alispahić, students through these practical exercises the theoretical part of the lessons they have mastered can be applied in practice. The first part of the lecture was held in the premises of the International University of Travnik, where the students could, through practical use, see the way and the method of using the alkometers.
In the second part of the lesson students Alispahić and the police officers had methodologically successful insight into the application of radar in measuring and controlling the speed of movement of vehicles, with traffic control and drivers. The students with the appropriate equipment and the approval of the police officers made the stop and control of the participants in the traffic.
This was another successful field training course that was realized thanks to the cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the MDC with which the International University Travnik has a very good and efficient cooperation that will continue in the future.
