The realization of Erasmus + project “Digital Social Innovation: New Educational Competences for Social Inclusion” began

Representatives of the International University Travnik, Doc. dr.sci and Dr. Honoris Causa Sabahudin Hadžialic, Head of International Relations Office and Senior Assistant Merima Delić attended the meeting on the occasion of the start of the project Digital Social Innovation: New Educational Competences for Social Inclusion, held in Udine, Italy.

The DSI project aims to support inclusive education and social rehabilitation by enhancing competencies in the digital social innovation of social educators and social volunteers. In addition to the International University Travnik, Ecoinstitut, Italy; Include, Greece; Janusz Korczak University, Poland; Academy of Technology Rezekna, Latvia; Universities in Rijeka, Croatia and MANRA, Spain, participate in the project.

In line with the project proposal, the initial meeting was attended by representatives of all participating universities in the project who presented their organization that illustrates the main activities related to the scope of the project. Coordinator Dr. Gilberto Marzano presented the project plan and the administrative tasks using the materials he received from the Italian National Agency at a meeting in Florence.

The Polish partner suggested that the target groups of educator activities be identified in order to demonstrate the specific digital competencies needed to develop innovative solutions for their new needs. The participants approved the project plan, communication plan and risk management, as well as the website of the project prepared by the representatives of the International University Travnik.

The main role of the International University Travnik in this project is the preparation of materials and the framework for common standards and methodologies within the project in close cooperation with Ecoistituto del Fruli Venezia Giulia, Udine, Italy.
