The Career Development Center helps students explore career choice options and develop job-finding skills through the use of our various resources. The center will educate, advise and connect students and potential employers for mutual benefit.
Work with students
Working with students is the most important aspect of the work of the Career Development Center. The following activities are planned:
Collecting career information – we offer students help in informing about career-related topics
Career lectures – dedicated to a wide range of professional fields (eg teaching, marketing, accounting, charity work, etc.)
Skills trainings – aimed at developing the skills that employers are looking for (eg teamwork, presentation skills, negotiation skills, etc.)
Workshops and various exercise tests – focusing on issues relevant to the recruitment process (eg CV writing, job applications and interviews, etc.)
Courses – in the field in which students show interest (foreign languages, informatics, communication skills, etc.)
Longer professional counseling – focused on issues related to the employment process and career; students usually have to arrange them in advance (lasting from 45 minutes to 1 hour)
Unannounced meetings (Drop-In Sessions) – students do not have to arrange these meetings in advance, and they are most often intended for checking CVs and job applications, etc. (lasting 10 to 15 minutes).
The work of the Center will correspond to the needs of students, and for that reason our program will be regularly changed and improved.
